AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY PARK, TEXAS,
AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES QF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY
PARK, CHAPTER 10, TRAFFIC CONTROL, BY AMENDING SECTION 10.1213 (b)
(1) TO PROVIDE FOR DESIGNATION OF RESIDENT-ONLY PERMIT PARKING
ZONES; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT;
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY OF
FINE NOT TO EXCEED THE SUM OF TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200.00) FOR
EACH OFFENSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
UNIVERSITY PARK, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 10, Article 10.1200, Section 10.1213 (b), of the Code of
Ordinances, City of University Park, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 10.1213 Resident-Only Permit Parking
(b) Desi~nation of resident-parking-only zones• regulation of parkin~
(1) The following are designated as resident-parking-only zones, to wit:
(A)the south side of the 4100 block of Lovers Lane;
(B) the 4100 block of Hyer; and the 4300 block of Hyer, from the point of its
intersection with Douglas, west a distance of 260 feet;
(C) the 4100 and 4300 blocks of Grassmere;
(D)the north side of the 4100 block of Druid;
(E) the 4300 blocks of Druid and Glenwick;
(F) the east side of the 6600 block of Westchester, from Emerson to the alley
south of the HPHS parking garage; and
(G)the 4100 and 4300 blocks of Emerson, and the south side of the 4200 block
of Emerson."
SECTION 2. That all provisions of the Code of Ordinances of the City of University
Park, Texas, in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. That should any word, sentence, paragraph, subdivision, clause,
phrase or section of this ordinance or of the Code of Ordinances, as amended hereby, be
adjudged or held to be void or unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions of said ardinance or the Code of Ordinances, as amended hereby, which
shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 4. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this
ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction in the municipal
court of the City of University Park, Texas, shall be punished by a fine not to exceed the sum
of two hundred dollars ($200.00) for each offense.
SECTION 5. That this ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its
passage and the publication of the caption, as the law and Charter in such cases provide.
