A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY
PARK, TEXAS, STATING ITS INTENT THAT THE ROTARY CLUB OF PARK
CITIES CONDUCT THE FOURTH OF JULY PARADE UNTIL SUCH TIME AS
EITHER PARTY WISHES TO DISCONTINUE THE RELATIONSHIP; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, for several years the Rotary Club of Park Cities has organized the Fourth of July
Parade conducted in the City of University Park and the Town of Highland Park; and
WHEREAS,the event has been a successful joint venture between these three organizations; and
WHEREAS, the Parade and related activities in Goar Park have been successful for many years;
and
WHEREAS, the Rotary Club of Park Cities wishes to continue to organize the event; Now
Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY
PARK,TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The Rotary Club of Park Cities is permitted to conduct the portion of the Parade and
related activities in University Park until the permit is withdrawn by the City of University Park.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage, and it is
accordingly so resolved.
